requiem

There are plenty of tales of public scultpure going around these days, and this is just a quick update:
Luis Jimenez, amazing sculptor whose "Mustang" series is probably the best known of his work, died 2 weeks ago when the leg of one of the Mustangs he was readying for the Dallas Airport dropped from its mooring, crashed into him and killed him. It was tragic. And yet, and yet, as tacky as it may be, I can't help but think that that's exactly the way a dedicated sculptor would want to go. I assume that the killer Mustang won't be put down...
